They were looking at a different plan and I was unable to get them to "scroll over" to the appropriate protection plan. I tried again on a different day during the first hour of their contact hours and had a cheerful Asurion agent who was able to find the appropriate kitchen item protection plan. It was a simple and thorough conversation and transaction. I was refunded within hours after I packed up and dropped off the damaged item out to UPS. Moral of the story: Asurion Protection Plan is worth it and contact them at the start of their first day shift, not at the end of their evening shift.
