Beerenwachs hat einen Schmelzpunkt von ca. 52 Grad Celsius, niedriger als Bienenwachs. Und ebenfalls anders als Bienenwachs, hinterlsst es nach dem Auftragen keinen so deutlichen Film auf der Haut.
