I used this to change the oil on my BMW M8 with the S63 engine. It was a perfect fit. It extended far enough onto the filter housing to be quite secure with no risk of slipping off and stripping the housing. It was snug on the housing and did not bind up due to having a loose fit. It would still probably hold up well even for daily shop use as long as it was not abused (repeatedly dropped, slammed around, etc).
