It was issued to the German Bundeswehr (Federal Defence Force), commonly referred to as BUND. The matte case is in excellent condition, and the case back features the original German military markings: 6645 12 146 37xx,

Will probably be destroyed soon, but SUPER CUTE!

Super cute! It will probably eventually be ripped to shreds by my pups soon because it is not as sturdy as other toys out there. It is also pretty small so not the best for large dogs destructive dogs. My lab tries to eat it and rip it but my small chihuahua plays with it and fetches it (she also looks adorable holding it her mouth!!)
