Sie ist eine einheimische Sorte, die vor allem im Vipava Tal zu Hause ist, heute nur noch auf wenigen Hektaren, Schtzungen gehen von weniger als 100 ha Anbauflche aus. Nicht nur aufgrund des Namens wird eine Verwandtschaft zu Verduzzo Friulano aus dem benachbarten Friaul vermutet. Grngolden im Glas, mit viel mediterraner Kruterwrze:
