They do not scratch my skin, they are not rough, and they don't stick to me. I use them only once and throw away. The price of them is reasonable and a box of them is always sitting in pantry. I've used them to applying antiseptic to cuts,, giving to my husband for dotting a razor cut, and as a protector inside a jewelry pouch. I just love these little pads.
