Cometic uses stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. The illustrations are bright and friendly and the board book format is sturdy, so it holds up well with little hands flipping pages a bit aggressively. The rhyming flows okay, not perfect poetry but not awkward either. That said, the concept might be a little abstract for very young kids depending on their age. Mine liked the pictures but didn’t fully connect the idea without explanation, so it ended up being more of a guided read than an independent “get it right away” story. It feels like a good conversation starter book rather than a quick bedtime read you can breeze through half asleep. Still cute, just something to be aware of depending on your kid.
