Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. band will not adjust.

Can't adjust band. Instructions say push pin out in direction of arow, with tool supplied. Pin does not move, tool bends. pins have screw slots tool only has round push. Shame I liked the look of watch but wonder about quality.
