I bought these to replace a set of manual twist grinders which didn't last long. Not sure how long these will last but I will say that I am very impressed after my first use. The salt grinder grinds very evenly and it's really easy to see how much is being dispensed. Same with the pepper grinder. I also like that they come with a tray which catches the inevitible particles that would otherwise would scatter on the countertop.
