I am a fan of the late Dr. Heiser. He was a consummate scholar who was not afraid to challenge the status quo or tradition in cases where he felt Scripture was being mishandled or interpreted out of context. This book, the second of a two volume commentary series on the book of Enoch, was written to provide a readable commentary text to help the average person to understand this fascinating second temple period composition. I believe he succeeded admirably in navigating and explaining this work drawing heavily on the best scholarly interpretive sources.

Excellent commentary! Well documented!

Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback

Michael Heiser can be trusted to provide clear explanations of the text, the context and some of the various opposing schools of thought concerning a host of Biblical issues. He provides excellent resources and asks questions to help the seeker to understand what Scripture REALLY says. Careful! Some of your denominational doctrines may need to be re-examined. But if that’s the case, isn’t “now” a better time than later? Be blessed on your journey 🙏

Okay

Format: Paperback

I was hoping for a modern day translation of the book of Enoch. This helps to understand it but still not an easy read for the average person.
