almost everything about this pepper grinder is perfect. the glass the turny bit and how easy it to use and clean is great. its such a simple and accessible piece of kitchen utility and its pretty in its simplicity too BUT! there is a little plastic ring that keeps popping out as i use it. the peppercorns will get stuck behind it and work it out every time i use it and it falls out into my food about every other time so i have to keep popping in and out that little plastic ring and clearing out the pepper and hoping i don't lose it or eat it.

Perfect Salt & Pepper Grinders

Size: 2.5" x 5.1"

Excellent design, size and function, plus they have CLEAR PLASTIC TOPS so you can easily see how much ground salt or pepper you have to sprinkle on your food. After using my first set I knew I needed another set for different combinations of pepper corns in particular. Oh, and they come with an extra set of ceramic grinding wheels (yes, ceramic, not plastic as a few reviewers falsely claim). Very smooth operation and adjustable from fine to coarse sizes. Here's my recommendation for use. First, use quality coarse salt and whole pepper corns. Second, don't grind with lid off over hot steaming food while cooking because the steam will negatively effects the salt and pepper in the grinders, the grind quality you get, and will ultimately clog the grinders. Just grind with lid on until you get the required amount (hence the need for the clear caps), open the caps and sprinkle. Easy peasy... ☺
